EXACT DISTRIBUTION OF VOTAW’S CRITERION L1(vc)

ABSTRACT: In this work we present
the probability density function and the respective cumulative distribution
function of the Votaw’s criterion L1(vc) of the compound symmetry of
type II structure of a normal t-variate population (t = nh; t ³ 3), via the direct and inverse Merllin transforms. They are presented
for the general case, in terms of Meijer’s G-function and by applying the
calculus of residues for h even and n = 2 as a computable form of logarithmic
function series with coeficients in terms of "Psi" and generalized
"Zeta-de-Riemann" functions.
