§ ABSTRACT: A generalizations of results obtained by PEREIRA & PERECIN (1985), is present about the efficiency of (1/5)⁵³ fractional fatorial in the estimate of the ten parameters of a second order response model. To calculate the efficiencie, the methodology defined by BOX & WILSON (1951), were used and the criterions det(V) and tr(V), determinant and trace of the variance-covariance matrix to compared the (1/5)5³ fractional fatorial as a whole. From the 40 (1/5)53 regular fractions the ones classifided in type W, PERECIN et ali (1982), are more efficiency in all aspects evaluateds.
