AN ANALYSIS OF THE TRIGONOMETRIC DISCRETIZATION FOR THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF ABEL-TYPE INTEGRAL EQUATIONS

§    ABSTRACT: In this paper we reinvestigate a well-know discretization method for the numerical solution of first kind Abel-type Integral Equations. Using a sufficient condition for the root condition we show that the trigonometric method has convergent order 2 for all a , a e (0,1).
