EXTERIOR COVARIANT DERIVATIVES FOR AN EXTENDED CARTAN THEORY

§    ABSTRACT: The purpose of this article is to explain how finding out some of the free parameters of the extended five dimensional Cartan gravity theory proposed in an early paper by Borges (1993). The Rheonomic symmetry condition combined with the solution of the Bianch identities for the set of covariant derivatives provide us with a compatible system of equations for the parameters of theory. That indicates that the hypothesis made for the curvatures of the manifold is acceptable, and that Rheonomiccan in fact be regarded, in this case, as an underlying symmetry.
