Hidden Markov models applied to DNA
sequence analysis

§     ABSTRACT: Hidden Markov models are applied to the analysis of homogeneous segments of DNA sequences. A software was developed and applied to the analysis of the bacteriophage lambda, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri, Escherichia coil, Strepctococcus pneumonia  and Xylella fastidiosa DNA sequences. The results are compared to the ones obtained by Churchill (1989) and da-Silva (2003).
