§    ABSTRACT: The present study was motivated by a data set collected at the Neurophysiology and Experimental Neuroethology Laboratory (LNNE, University of São Paulo) and analyzed at the Quantitative Methods Center of the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto – University of São Paulo (CEMEQ). Its purpose is to provide a Bayesian analysis in which we investigate the grooming behavior in male Wistar rats when the researchers injected saline (control group) and oxytocin (treatment group). Considering data counts, a Poisson model was proposed for the analysis. Moreover, an analysis was conducted comparing the results obtained by the classical and the Bayesian methods.
