Numerical optimization of the area to the transversal sections for the component structural elements of plain structures of truss type

§    ABSTRACT: In civil engineering, and, in particular, in the civil construction, the composed structures for bar elements are dimensionated to resist the action of operating forces and, restricted the small displacements, thus the choice of the area of the adjusted transversal section more for its component structural elements is calculated by a methodology based on attempt and error. This work has as objective, to present a methodology of calculation used to determine of the optimal value to the transversal sections areas for the component structural elements of a plain structures of truss type, by the Aotm program, developed based on the Finite Elements Method and the Least Squares Method. An example of plain structure of the truss type is evaluated by way the Aotm program to evidence its efficiency.
